We slept in until 7:30 (!) because we had been entranced by an episode of Iron Chef America: Citrus Challenge the night before (spoiler alert: Bobby Flay wins). Headed back down the hill to Moody's Diner for a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. AM decided against a slice of blueberry pie for "dessert."

We biked north on Route 1, bypassing the town of Warren and continuing on a pretty side road (Route 90 / Camden Road). We continued on to the town of Rockport, where we got off our bikes and waded in Rockport Harbor. We took a picturesque back road from Rockport to Camden -- one of Jordan's favorites of the trip. Along the way, we thought we saw a field full of pandas. Turns out they were a famous breed of Scottish cow -- Belted Galloways. They were black with a big white stripe (the "belt") around their middles.

We biked another few miles and descended into the lovely fishing village/tourist spot that is Camden. We walked around, saw the sights, and spied some blue umbrellas on a deck high above town, overlooking the harbor. We headed for the blue umbrellas and got the best table in the house. We enjoyed some delicious sandwiches and lemonade and hit the road again.

We started on a steady uphill under a relentless sun and soon found ourselves coasting past the beautiful Lake Megunticook. This was a long stretch (17 miles) under a hot sun, and we drank gallons of water. We saw a sign of better things to come when we saw a Belfast Water Shed road sign, which suggested that from there, all roads would run downhill into Belfast, our ultimate destination.

We crossed the Belfast bridge and pulled in to the Belfast Harbor Inn, which had a lovely view of the harbor AND a washer and dryer! We showered and jumped in the pool. After our swim, we headed next door to Foxy's for steak, haddock, amaretto ice cream with blueberries, and key lime pie. We watched a brilliant sunset over the harbor from Foxy's deck and then called it a night.
